Jeetendra Mishra Takes Charge as First CEO of Ram Temple Trust: Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the development and administration of the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
The creation of the CEO post marks a move towards strengthening the trust’s administrative and financial management. The appointment comes amid concerns over the handling and security of donations associated with the temple project.
Mishra brings more than three decades of experience in the Indian Air Force (IAF), including operational, technological and leadership responsibilities.
Distinguished Indian Air Force Career
According to information from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Jeetendra Mishra was commissioned into the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot on 6 December 1986.
During his military career, he served in several operational and command assignments. He is recognised as a fighter combat leader and experimental test pilot, with more than 3,000 hours of flying experience.
His extensive exposure to aviation, technology, leadership and organisational management is expected to support his responsibilities in the newly created executive position.

He also attended the Air Command & Staff College in the United States and the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom.

Selection Process for the CEO Post
The recruitment process for the newly created CEO position reportedly attracted around 5,200 applications. After initial screening, 18 candidates were shortlisted for interviews that began in August 2026.
The selection process examined candidates on a range of personal and background-related considerations, including questions concerning religious beliefs and personal conduct.
Mishra ultimately emerged as the successful candidate, making him the first executive-level appointment of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
