Joheirry Mola Wins Miss World 2026 for Dominican Republic: Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026 at the 73rd Miss World pageant held in Vietnam on September 5, 2026. She received the crown from outgoing Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand.
The competition featured 111 contestants representing countries and territories from across the world. Elisabeth Reynés of Spain finished as the first runner-up, while Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia became the second runner-up.

Who Is Joheirry Mola?
Joheirry Mola is a Dominican educator, communicator, professional model and social worker. She studied Business Management and Administration at Universidad Iberoamericana.
Beyond modelling and pageantry, Mola works as an educator, teaching Literature and Social Studies in English. She also founded and serves as president of Voices of Tomorrow, an initiative focused on providing English-language education to children and young people from disadvantaged communities.
Mola has additionally been associated with Univision New York’s Ventana a Quisqueya, where she promotes Dominican culture and social life.
Beauty With a Purpose Project
Mola’s social-impact work formed an important part of her Miss World journey. Through her Beauty With a Purpose project, she promotes English-language training for disadvantaged young people.

Dominican Republic Wins for the Second Time
Mola’s victory gave the Dominican Republic its second Miss World crown. The country’s first victory came in 1982, when Mariasela Álvarez won the title.
Mola’s achievement therefore represents the country’s return to the Miss World summit after more than four decades.
India’s Nikita Porwal at Miss World 2026
India was represented by Nikita Porwal, who had won the Femina Miss India World 2024 title. She advanced to the Top 40, but did not qualify for the Top 20.
Porwal attracted attention through her cultural presentation and Project MAATI, a social initiative focused on indigenous tribal communities. Although she did not advance to the later rounds, her participation highlighted India’s cultural and social-impact representation at the international pageant.
