India Sends 10 Tonnes of HADR Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal: India has dispatched 10 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) supplies to Nepal following devastating floods that caused deaths and left many people missing.

Border Areas Put on High Alert

Union Home Minister Amit Shah discussed the possible impact of the floods with the Chief Ministers of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, particularly in areas close to the India–Nepal border.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), local authorities and rescue teams were placed on high alert in vulnerable border areas as a precaution against rising water levels and possible flooding.

Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah appealed to citizens to maintain unity during rescue and relief operations, particularly in Rasuwa district.

They were advised to contact local Chinese authorities and remain in touch with the Indian Embassies in Beijing and Kathmandu for assistance.
