Bharat Innovates 2026 Strengthens India-France Deep Tech Partnership: Bharat Innovates 2026 will be jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron on June 14, 2026, at the Palais des Expositions, Nice, France. Organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the event aims to showcase India’s fast-growing deep-tech ecosystem before global investors, research institutions, and industry leaders.

The initiative is a flagship programme under the India-France Year of Innovation 2026. It seeks to strengthen bilateral collaboration in advanced technologies, research, innovation, and startup development.

Global Platform for Indian Startups

Bharat Innovates 2026 will bring together nearly 120 Indian innovators and startups, around 15 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and more than 500 investors, venture capital firms, corporate leaders, and global CEOs.

The event will provide Indian entrepreneurs with opportunities to attract international investment, build research collaborations, and access overseas markets. It also aims to accelerate the commercialization of indigenous technologies.

The programme will showcase innovations across 13 strategic sectors, highlighting India’s growing strengths in frontier technologies.

The platform will encourage technology transfer, joint research projects, and cross-border industrial partnerships between Indian and French institutions.

Boost to India-France Strategic Relations

India and France established their Strategic Partnership in 1998, which has steadily expanded into defence, civil nuclear energy, space cooperation, climate action, education, and technology.

Bharat Innovates 2026 represents another important milestone in this partnership by creating a dedicated platform for collaboration in deep-tech innovation and startup ecosystems. It reflects the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen knowledge-based economic growth.
