Vairamuthu Receives Prestigious Jnanpith Recognition: The 60th Jnanpith Award for 2025 has been conferred on renowned Tamil poet, lyricist and writer R. Vairamuthu. Some of his notable literary works include Kallikattu Ithikasam, Karuvachi Kaaviyam, Thanneer Desam and Moondraam Ulagapor. These works are celebrated for their powerful storytelling and deep portrayal of Tamil culture and rural society.
