Shramshree Scheme Empowering Returning Migrant Workers in West Bengal: The West Bengal Government has introduced the Shramshree Scheme, targeting the rehabilitation of returning Bengali migrant workers. The scheme provides ₹5,000 per month as financial support for up to one year or until the worker finds employment within West Bengal. This makes it the first-of-its-kind welfare scheme by a state exclusively for returning migrants.
