Shipki La Pass Reopening and India China Trade Revival: Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district has long served as a traditional Indo-Tibetan trade route. It was designated under the 1994 India China bilateral agreement for official border trade. The route was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, halting centuries-old movement of goods and cultural exchange.
