Shegaon Hosts National Arogya Fair 2026 Under Presidential Leadership: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the National Arogya Fair 2026 on 25 February 2026 at Shegaon in Buldhana district, Maharashtra. The four-day national event highlighted India’s expanding focus on holistic healthcare and traditional medicine systems.
In her address, the President described health as the foundation of national development and quoted the Sanskrit maxim “Aarogyam Paramam Sukham”, meaning good health is the greatest happiness. She emphasized that Ayush systems provide preventive, promotive, and curative care.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, described the event as a “Mahakumbh of Indian traditional medicine systems.” The fair featured free medical consultations, distribution of medicines, expert lectures, and public awareness campaigns.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to evidence-based research, scientific validation, quality assurance, and global collaboration. This aligns with India’s broader vision of positioning itself as a global leader in Ayush tourism and wellness services.
