Samriddhi Kendra Expands Rural Digital Access Under BharatNet: The Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, inaugurated a Samriddhi Kendra in Umri village of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh in March 2026. The centre was launched under the Samriddh Gram Phygital Services Pilot Initiative implemented by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
The initiative demonstrates how high-speed broadband connectivity can be integrated with local service delivery systems in villages. The centre functions as a digital-enabled service hub within the Panchayat Bhawan, improving access to government and economic services.
