Static GK Tip: Raisina Hill in New Delhi houses the offices of the President of India and important ministries of the Union Government.
Theme of Raisina Dialogue 2026
The theme for Raisina Dialogue 2026 is “Saṁskāra – Assertion, Accommodation, Advancement.” The concept of Saṁskāra reflects civilizational continuity and adaptive evolution in the global order.
Assertion refers to countries strengthening sovereignty over borders, economic systems, and technological infrastructure. Nations are increasingly focusing on strategic autonomy in a rapidly shifting geopolitical environment.
Accommodation highlights the rise of flexible coalitions and plurilateral groupings, which are replacing slow-moving multilateral institutions. Countries are cooperating through smaller strategic alliances to address global challenges.
Advancement emphasises the transformative role of technology, artificial intelligence, and digital governance. Technological innovation is expanding access to services and improving governance in developing regions.
Key global strategic conversations
Several major geopolitical debates are expected to shape discussions during the conference. One central discussion revolves around America and the world, examining the evolving role of the United States in global alliances.
Another important discussion focuses on China and the world, particularly concerns regarding economic asymmetry, supply chains, and geopolitical competition. The dynamics between the United States and China will also be examined as policymakers search for a stable strategic balance.
A third area of discussion concerns the role of emerging and middle powers, which are increasingly shaping a more balanced international order.
Major thematic pillars
The conference will explore several thematic pillars addressing contemporary global challenges.
Contested Frontiers will analyse shifting power centres, emerging conflict zones, and evolving security architectures.
Repairing the Commons will focus on governance of global commons including oceans, cyberspace, and international supply chains.
White Whale Agenda 2030 will evaluate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
