Overview of the Regional Conference
NGT Chennai Regional Conference on Environment 2025: The NGT Zonal Bench in Chennai hosted the Regional Conference on Environment 2025 on 6 and 7 December, bringing together key stakeholders committed to advancing environmental governance. The event highlighted institutional collaboration and the need for a unified regional vision for sustainability.

Leadership and Inaugural Participation

Sundresh of the Supreme Court inaugurated the event, with Justice Aravind Kumar and Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava joining as special dignitaries. The first technical session, chaired by Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque, focused on environmental law enforcement and biodiversity conservation. The deliberations examined the need for improved compliance mechanisms and community-centric conservation models.
