NeGD Crosses 2000 Digital Governance Services Nationwide: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has achieved a major milestone by integrating nearly 2,000 e-Government services across India. This integration covers all 36 states and union territories, strengthening the Digital India initiative and improving transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in service delivery.
Seamless Service Delivery
Citizens can now access crucial services such as birth and caste certificates, welfare applications, bill payments, and marriage certificates digitally. These services are available round-the-clock, reducing dependence on physical visits and eliminating paperwork delays.

State Leaders in Integration
Among the 1,938 services integrated, several states have emerged as leaders. Maharashtra tops the list with 254 services, followed by Delhi (123), Karnataka (113), Assam (102), and Uttar Pradesh (86). This reflects the increasing adoption of state-level digital governance models.

Platforms Driving the Transition
DigiLocker
DigiLocker is a secure cloud platform that allows citizens to store and retrieve digital documents. It has become a cornerstone of paperless governance, supporting sectors like education, transport, and legal compliance.
e-District
The e-District platform focuses on digitizing district-level services, ensuring both rural and urban citizens benefit from quick access to official records and welfare schemes.

Future of Digital Governance
