Launch of the mobile app
MY Bharat Mobile App for Youth Empowerment: Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the MY Bharat Mobile Application in New Delhi on 1 October 2025. This mobile-first platform extends the reach of MY Bharat, a youth leadership and engagement initiative, to smartphones. It ensures that young citizens, especially those in remote areas, can easily participate in national campaigns and access opportunities.
Static GK fact: MY Bharat was officially launched on 31 October 2023 as a digital platform for youth empowerment in India.
Key features of the platform
The app offers mobile-first access, making it more convenient than web-only platforms. It supports multilingual options, starting with Hindi and English, with more Indian languages planned. Youth can access verified volunteering opportunities, internships, mentorship programs, and experiential learning activities.
It also provides AI-powered career tools like resume builders and guided pathways, enabling young people to enhance employability. Achievements are recognized through digital badges and certificates, building a youth profile for future opportunities.
CSC integration for rural outreach
A critical feature is its integration with CSCs (Common Services Centres). With over 5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) across India, CSCs allow rural youth to register, receive guidance, and engage in programs. This creates a strong digital + physical support system to reduce the urban-rural gap.
Static GK fact: CSCs were launched under the National e-Governance Plan to provide access to digital services in rural India.
Benefits for youth
The app ensures democratic participation by allowing more youth to share ideas and engage in national initiatives like the Volunteer for Bharat campaign and quizzes such as the upcoming VBLYD 2026 Quiz. It connects education with employability by offering structured opportunities for skills, internships, and mentoring.
The platform encourages civic responsibility, helping youth contribute to nation-building through social engagement. By aligning personal growth with national development, the app acts as a comprehensive tool for the empowerment of India’s 15–29 age group.
Registrations and reach
At the time of launch, the MY Bharat network had 1.81 crore youth and 1.20 lakh organisations registered. With mobile access, this number is expected to grow rapidly. The widespread CSC network ensures that no region is left behind in accessing digital empowerment.
Static GK Tip: India is the world’s largest youth population country, with over 65% of its population under the age of 35.
