It offers a rich visual narrative, featuring over 250 rare photographs, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and detailed interviews with the players. From India’s unexpected loss to Argentina to the decisive goal scored by Ashok Kumar, the book captures the drama and determination that defined India’s path to world championship glory.
Veterans Return to Celebrate
The launch turned into a reunion of hockey legends. Prominent figures like Ashok Kumar, H. J. S. Chimni, Harbinder Singh, Zafar Iqbal, and Vineet Kumar graced the occasion, sharing memories and inspiring stories from their playing days.
