Kerala Launches India First Graphene Policy: The Kerala government approved India’s first dedicated Graphene Policy in February 2026, aiming to transform the state into a global centre for advanced material research and manufacturing. Graphene is considered a revolutionary material due to its superior strength, conductivity, and flexibility. The policy aligns with Kerala’s long-term strategy of promoting high-technology industries and innovation-driven economic growth.
