Launch of Innovation TN
Innovation TN Dashboard for Start-ups: IIT Madras has partnered with Guidance Tamil Nadu to launch a new state-level dashboard called Innovation TN. This platform acts as a one-stop interface to map the entire start-up ecosystem of Tamil Nadu. It highlights the state’s innovation strengths and helps various stakeholders track progress.

Growth of Start-ups in Tamil Nadu
As of August 2025, Tamil Nadu is home to nearly 19,000 start-ups. These ventures are spread across sectors such as manufacturing, IT, healthcare, and renewable energy. Together, they have created more than 2.2 lakh jobs in the state, reflecting the impact of start-up culture on employment generation.

Incubators and Innovation Support
Tamil Nadu also boasts 228 active incubators and enabling organisations, the highest number among all states in India.
