Indo Vietnam Academic Partnership Expands Through IIT Kanpur MoU: On September 18, 2025, IIT Kanpur and Vietnam National University (VNU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to boost academic and research ties. The agreement was formalized in New Delhi in the presence of senior delegates from both institutions. This move highlights India’s academic diplomacy under its Act East Policy and Vietnam’s efforts to enhance access to advanced technology and research.
Objectives of the Collaboration
The MoU focuses on joint research, faculty and student exchange, and innovation in key technology sectors. It also seeks to promote scientific growth tailored to socio-economic needs. Student mobility, training workshops, and shared use of infrastructure are expected to strengthen educational ecosystems in both nations.
