Indian Peacekeepers Recognised for Exemplary Service in Abyei: Indian peacekeepers serving under the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) were recently honoured for their exemplary contribution to peace and stability in the Abyei region, a contested area between Sudan and South Sudan.
During a formal medal parade ceremony, the Acting Head of Mission and Force Commander, Maj Gen Robert Yaw Affram, commended the professionalism and dedication of the Indian Battalion (INDBATT).
