India Strengthens Space Cyber Security Ecosystem: India has taken a significant step to protect its expanding space ecosystem from rising digital threats. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and SIA-India jointly released the Space Cyber Security Guidelines 2026 during the DefSat Conference & Expo 2026 in New Delhi on 26 February 2026.
The advisory framework aims to strengthen cyber protection across satellite communication systems, ground infrastructure, and space supply chains. With the growing integration of digital technologies in space operations, the new guidelines address vulnerabilities that could affect national security and critical services.

SIA-India (Satellite Industry Association of India) represents key stakeholders including satellite operators, manufacturers, startups, and academic institutions in the space sector.
