Competing with over 400 athletes from 43 countries, the Indian shooting team clinched seven medals—2 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze—securing third place overall behind China and the United States. This result marks another milestone for India in international shooting and secures multiple qualifications for the upcoming ISSF World Cup Final in Doha.
Top Indian Performers and Medal Wins
Suruchi Singh emerged as a standout performer, winning gold in Women’s 10m Air Pistol, and partnering with Saurabh Chaudhary to secure gold in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event. Manu Bhaker followed closely with a silver in the same individual category. Arjun Babuta added another silver, while the mixed rifle pair of Rudrannksh Patil and Arya Borse also earned a silver. Emerging talent Simranpreet Kaur Brar secured her maiden World Cup medal with a silver in the 25m Pistol event, while Saurabh Chaudhary capped off India’s medal haul by winning bronze in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol category.
Road to the World Cup Final in Doha
The Lima event also acted as a qualifier for the ISSF World Cup Final, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar from December 4–9, 2025. Medalists automatically qualify, positioning India strongly for the final. With 42 shooters, India had one of the largest squads, second only to China, highlighting the country’s expanding focus and depth in Olympic-level shooting events.

India’s third-place finish is notable given the scale and competitiveness of the event. China topped the standings with 13 medals (4 Gold), followed by the USA with 7 medals (4 Gold). India matched the USA’s total medal count but trailed in gold medals with 2 Golds, showcasing India’s consistency and competitiveness, especially in 10m air pistol and mixed team categories.
