India Mobile Congress 2025 Begins in New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 on October 8 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi. The event will continue till October 11 and marks the 9th edition of Asia’s premier telecom and technology conference. The theme for this year is “Innovate to Transform.”

Theme and focus
IMC 2025 emphasizes Atmanirbhar Bharat in the telecom and digital space. The spotlight is on 6G research through the Bharat 6G Alliance, cybersecurity measures, satellite communication advancements, and the role of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) in network transformation. The event also highlights domestic telecom manufacturing to strengthen India’s position as a global digital hub.
Participation and scale
Over 1.5 lakh visitors are expected to attend the event. Delegates from more than 150 countries, numbering around 7,000, will participate. The exhibition area spans 4.5 lakh sq ft, hosting 400 exhibitors. IMC 2025 will showcase over 1,600 new technology use-cases across 5G, AI, and cybersecurity domains.

Key summits and programmes
Six global flagship summits will take place during IMC 2025. These include the International Bharat 6G Symposium, International AI Summit, Cyber Security Summit, and Satcom Summit. Special focus will also be on the IMC Aspire Programme, designed to connect startups with investors and venture capitalists.
The Global Startup World Cup – India Edition will be a major attraction, where 15 finalists compete for a USD 1 million investment.
Government support and achievements
The event is jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). India has achieved remarkable progress in the digital sector, ranking among the top three digital economies globally. The country has 1.2 billion mobile subscribers and achieved the fastest 5G rollout in the world in just 22 months.
