GeM Reaches ₹5.4 Lakh Crore Milestone in Ninth Year: The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has completed its ninth year by crossing an unprecedented ₹5.4 lakh crore in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) during FY 2024–25. Launched in 2016, the platform has emerged as India’s principal digital procurement hub, designed to ensure openness, efficiency, and fairness in public sector purchases.

Inclusive Growth Over the Years
Since inception, GeM has expanded its network to include 1.5 lakh enterprises led by women, alongside startups, self-help groups, traditional craftsmen, and micro and small enterprises (MSEs). - GeM Seller Samvad – Conducted on 6 August at GeM’s New Delhi headquarters, facilitating direct interaction between sellers and officials.
- GeM Manthan – A policy dialogue aimed at building a more inclusive, innovation-driven procurement model.
