GeM Reaches ₹5.4 Lakh Crore Milestone in Ninth Year: The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has completed its ninth year by crossing an unprecedented ₹5.4 lakh crore in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) during FY 2024–25. Launched in 2016, the platform has emerged as India’s principal digital procurement hub, designed to ensure openness, efficiency, and fairness in public sector purchases.
