East Coast Railway Proposal in Tamil Nadu: A new railway proposal has been submitted by R. Sudha, Member of Parliament from Mayiladuthurai, to the Union Railway Minister. The plan suggests constructing an East Coast Railway line connecting Chennai to Kanniyakumari.
