National Recognition for Children’s Literature
Celebrating Young Voices Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2025: The Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2025 highlights India’s commitment to nurturing high-quality children’s literature across 24 languages. Announced by the Sahitya Akademi, the awards will be presented on 14 November 2025 at the Triveni Auditorium in New Delhi. This annual tradition reflects India’s cultural richness and encourages writers who focus on young readers.

Highlights of the Award Ceremony

The Vice President of the Akademi, Kumud Sharma, will deliver the vote of thanks, while Pallavi Prashant Holkar presents the welcome address.
Each winner will receive ₹50,000 and a bronze plaque as recognition for their literary contribution.

Winners include Surendra Mohan Das for Assamese, Tridib Kumar Chattopadhyay for Bengali, Nitin Kushalappa MP for English, Kirtida Brahmbhatt for Gujarati, Susheel Shukla for Hindi, Izhar Mubashir for Kashmiri, Sreejith Moothedath for Malayalam, Sangmu Lepcha for Nepali, Vishnupuram Sarvanan for Tamil, Gangisetty Sivakumar for Telugu, and Ghazanfar Iqbal for Urdu.
