In the education and health sector, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has deployed this system in 850 medical institutions for faculty and staff attendance tracking. In recruitment, agencies such as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) use it to verify candidates’ identities during examinations and hiring processes.

Multiple authentication methods

Static GK fact: Aadhaar supports multiple authentication types, including demographic, biometric, and OTP-based methods.

e-KYC advantages

Impact and relevance

The growth in Aadhaar face authentication reflects its role as:

  • A secure and reliable digital identity framework for citizens.
  • A safeguard ensuring welfare benefits reach rightful recipients.
  • A voluntary tool for seamless access to private-sector services.
  • A driver of ease of living by eliminating repetitive document checks.
