Enforcement and Penalty Powers
One of the most important updates in the bill is the empowerment of the BDO to take direct action against unauthorized installations. If a hoarding, digital banner, or placard is found to be set up without valid permission, the BDO can confiscate and remove it immediately. This step is expected to curb the visual clutter and political or commercial misuse of public infrastructure in rural regions.
This regulation also aims to reduce illegal or unsafe advertising structures, ensuring aesthetics and safety in village environments.
