Gallantry Medals for Bravehearts of Operation Sindoor: During the 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Government of India will present gallantry medals to armed forces personnel who showcased remarkable courage in Operation Sindoor. These heroes will be honoured in the presence of the nation, with several seated at the Red Fort during the Prime Minister’s address.

Operation Sindoor at the Heart of Celebrations
The focus of this year’s national event is Operation Sindoor, symbolising strength, unity, and self-reliance. Its emblem will be prominently displayed at Gyanpath, and floral arrangements will be themed to reflect the operation’s significance. The celebrations align with India’s long-term vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Aerial Salute to the Nation
A special Indian Air Force flypast will take place over the Red Fort, featuring three helicopters—one carrying the National Flag and another flying the Operation Sindoor emblem. Aircraft will also shower flower petals over the crowd, maintaining a long-standing ceremonial tradition.

Invitations with a Message
This year’s official invitations to the Independence Day event carry the Operation Sindoor logo. The card design also features a sketch of the Chenab Railway Bridge, inaugurated recently by the Prime Minister. Known as the highest railway bridge in the world, it represents the strong physical and emotional connection between Kashmir and the rest of India.
